2008 Sustainability Report

The World Steel Association has published its 2008 Sustainability Report. The report is based on a survey of 500 stakeholders. It captures indicator data from 38 companies and two regional associations.

Announcing worldsteel

The International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI) has changed its name to World Steel Association (worldsteel).

Speaking at the worldsteel annual conference in Washington DC, Director General Ian Christmas said, "Our new name provides a simple description of our role and a clarity to our purpose."
